EOHR convenes training sessions for the monitoring of the
upcoming Parliamentary Elections in twelve governorates

On Monday 31st October 2005, The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) started training sessions for the monitoring of the Parliamentary Elections, for guaranteeing its integrity. The sessions will be held in 12 governorates, (El Menia, Assiut, Bany Sweif, Alexandria, El Behira, Qafr El Sheikh, El Esmailia, North Sinai, Port Said, El Mansoura, Domiat, El Sharqia), and the final session will be on (27/11).
The Program determines the role of the monitoring process concerning its importance and goal, supervisors' mission to monitor voters' registration and performance, in addition to monitoring polling stations, counting and the results. The sessions also define the importance of holding meetings, collecting information, and observing the electoral campaigns and forgery.
In September 2005, EOHR convened training sessions for 100 members of Defence Commission for Opinion Detainees and Human Rights in (Alexandria), on the monitoring of the upcoming elections. In the former Presidential Elections, EOHR trained 1400 supervisors in 19 governorates; (Cairo, Qalyobia, Giza, El Monofia, El Mansoura, El Fayioum, Bany Sueif, Alexandria, El Behira, El Esmailia, El Sharqia, Port Said, Domiat, El Arish, Qena, Souhag, Aswan, El Menia, and Assiut), EOHR also distributed three instructive guides among the supervisors, determining the monitoring process rules.
